Phil Frederick is a highly regarded innovator and leader with two decades of experience in the hospitality and cannabis industry. His focus lies in business strategy, product development, and strategic growth, earning him recognition as a thought leader in the field.
Phil’s career began as a classically trained Chef and restaurateur. Over 20 years, Phil specialized in leadership and restaurant development for hospitality organizations Landry’s and Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises. During this time, Phil designed new menus, launched new concepts, and created management processes at famous restaurants Cafe Ba Ba Reeba, Mon Ami Gabi, and McCormick and Schmick’s.
However, in 2020, due to a medical issue Phil stepped away from the restaurant life. During his recovery, he was introduced to medical cannabis, which proved to be highly effective in aiding his treatment. This experience inspired Phil to join Acronym Investment as Chief Operating Officer to lead Georgetown Kushcakes, a cannabis-infused product company. With his culinary background, he led a team that created over 60 products in a 2 year period for the Washington DC market.
With the success of Georgetown Kushcakes Phil saw the opportunity for a new product — a line of tinctures designed for food called Kush Kitchen. This new product line became a top seller in the Washington DC market. Acronym Investment then took Kush Kitchen to the California market where it won first place in the 2021 Farmer’s Cup for best savory tincture.
He has been featured on the podcasts Cannabis Talk 101, I’m with RJ, Fly Zone Radio, and in the publications The Bluntness and East Coast Amsterdam.
